Summer Intern Positions at the Centre for Immunity, Infection and Evolution

The Centre for Immunity, Infection and Evolution is establishing a pilot scheme for visiting students who are not eligible for existing summer studentship schemes such as those offered by the Wellcome Trust and BBSRC which are restricted to undergraduates of UK and Irish universities.  

For 2009, we offer 3 bursaries of £1,380 to cover 6 weeks’ stipend at £180 per week plus up towards £300 travel expenses for international visitors.  

For 2010, we plan to offer similar bursaries to work with some of the Fellows of the Centre. Details will be available on our website later in the year, which will also detail opportunities for UK/Ireland students to apply to existing schemes for similar support.

Candidates are expected to approach one of the Centre members, who would then nominate chosen candidates to the CIIE Steering Committee.
