Summer Intern Positions at the Centre for Immunity, Infection and Evolution

The Centre for Immunity, Infection and Evolution is offering again a small number of studentships for visiting undergraduate students who are not eligible for existing summer studentship schemes such as those offered by the Wellcome Trust and BBSRC which are restricted to undergraduates of UK and Irish universities.  

For 2010, we offer bursaries of £1,380 to cover 6 weeks’ stipend at £180 per week plus up to £300 towards travel expenses for international visitors.  

Candidates can be nominated either by a Centre Member, or by a Centre Fellow, by writing a short case to the CIIE Steering Committee including one paragraph on the project and a line on additional resources. The student's CV should also be attached with clear information about current university studies and nationality.
 
Candidates are expected to approach one of the Centre Members or Centre Fellows, who would then nominate chosen candidates to the CIIE Steering Committee.
 
We will consider applicants in two rounds, in March and April. Please therefore submit any candidates to CIIE Office by either 26 February or 31 March.
